One of the most curious topic for our patients who are planning to come to Turkey for bariatric surgery is what expects them. We will tell you about this process with this article.

The patient consultant will contact you and she will calculate your BMI, take information about your health datas, introduce bariatric surgeries methods and determine which bariatric surgeries operation you should have. Also if you still have questions about operations, you may talk to the doctor on the phone. Your health datas will be checked by doctor. If the doctor says “Yes, you are suitable for this surgery” and you want to have the bariatric operation, you will be ready for the journey. We will work together with you to agree a date for surgery. The aim is to do this promptly, usually within one to two weeks.
Picking up from airport and hospitalization
After the flight, you will be landed in Istanbul. Our transfer team will be waiting in the area to take you to the hospital with our VIP transfer vehicle. After arriving at our hospital we will perform various procedures related to your hospitalization and surgery. Procurement of the necessary documents related to your operation and signing them will be one of the first processes we will do when you come to the hospital.
Examinations and conversation with the doctor
After you have completed your hospitalization procedures, we will perform the following examinations: lung x-ray, blood analysis, electrocardiography, abdomen ultrasound, endoscopy. Then, you will see your doctor Metin Yüksel Kerimoğlu and he will give you various information about your operation while checking the results of your examinations. In this way, you will find answers to all the questions you have in your mind.
Surgery
After your examinations are done, you will be ready for operation. During the operation, you will be anesthetized and you will not feel anything. In order to closely monitor your body’s response to your operation and your health after the surgery, you will stay at the hospital for 3-4 days. Being discharged from the hospital
Payment procedure
You do not have to make any payment until you arrive to the hospital where you will have the surgery. Thus, you can feel safe in paying fees. After your surgery day is confirmed, you should purchase the ticket of your arrival flight. When you arrive to Istanbul, you will be transferred from the airport to the hospital. Then you will make your payment (cash) in the hospital. (The operation fee includes the VIP transfer fee between the airport and the hospital)
